PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC ) adalah perusahaan pertambangan batubara yang terletak di wilayah Sengata, Kalimantan Timur. KPC telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1992, dan merupakan salah satu pertam bangan open pit terbesar di dunia.
PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) mengoperasikan tambang batubara di Sangatta Kalimantan Timur dan merupakan salah satu tambang batubara ekspor terbesar di dunia. Untuk mempertahankan posisinya sebagai penghasil batu bara paling efisien di dunia, KPC sedang melakukan peningkatan bisnis dan kinerja secara formal. PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) memiliki konsesi pertambangan dengan ukuran sekitar 90.938 hektar di Sangatta dan Bengalon di provinsi Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Pada 2012, total produksi batubara KPC di tambang Sangatta dan Bengalon mencapai 41,0 juta ton, naik dari 40,5 juta ton pada 2011.

1. SPECIALIST – CONDITION MONITORING (MSD)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Carry out analysis of condition monitoring process onto mining equipment
  2. Supervise and set clear goal and direction to the technician condition monitoring
  3. Monitor, Analyse and input into data base of all mining equipment health through condition monitoring tools such as wear metal analysis (filter cut, magnetic plug), top up fluid analysis, vehicle electronic data monitoring system and other related condition monitoring tools in mining equipment.
  4. Provide recommendation based on condition monitoring analysis and ensure Work Orders issued correctly, properly and on time.
  5. Provide technical analysis of failure mode and effect analysis, including NDT of component condition.
  6. Assist warranty team by providing technical analysis of component condition.
  7. Produce equipment health regular reports, include trending, and propose recommendation.
  8. Produce daily and weekly report for WO raised.
  9. Produce monthly report regarding condition monitoring analysis activities.
  10. Develop/involve on continuous improvement projects of equipment performance.
  11. Develop technician condition monitoring competencies especially on condition monitoring process, analysis, and monitoring.
  12. Conduct internal audit contamination control
  13. Conduct training as required related to condition monitoring
  14. Implement KPC HSE programs within Condition Monitoring team and contractor of Oil Analysis Laboratory.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum S1 with 3 years, D3 with 6 years’ experience or Senior High School (STM) with 10 years’ experience.
  2. Having broad knowledge on heavy equipment system operation
  3. Has experience on heavy equipment maintenance and predictive maintenance of heavy equipment (Oil Analysis, Vehicle Electronic Data Monitoring Systems, Failure Analysis, Contamination Control, NDT, etc.).
  4. Able to operate computer software packages: Ellipse, Dispatch, MinVu, MS-Word, MS-Excel Advanced, MS-Access, MS-Power Point, Minitab.
  5. Intermediate statistic.
  6. Good communication (written and oral) skills in English and Indonesian.
2. ENGINEER – PROCESS PERFORMANCE

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Monitor power generating process and conduct daily assessments of the relevant sections of shift operation reports.
  2. Alert Shift Superintendent of risks and problems and conduct investigations of problems identified.
  3. Support investigations with relevant flow sheets and data on equipment condition, operating conditions, and other factors extracted from power plant databases and from operations personnel or other sources.
  4. For short-term operational or safety problems, make recommendations to shift superintendent, supervisors and control room operators.
  5. For more significant problems which require modifications to plant or to operational or control strategies, submit written reports and discuss with Superintendent.
  6. Conduct special investigations with the objective of improving power generation or reducing costs, which may include trials of alternative processing equipment.
  7. Perform tasks delegated by superintendent related to power coordination and administration, direct and monitor power plant laboratory work activities in order to meet all generation and distribution targets and to ensure that all activities are carried out to the required.
  8. Promote and reinforce compliance with the KPC SOP, HSE rules and regulations among all employees.
  9. Monitor HSE aspects of projects activities.
  10. Provide feedback to plan and maintain optimum manning within operation group.
  11. Foster teamwork spirit and create a workplace culture among employees consistent with the KPC values.
  12. Provide feedback to Supt on applying the most optimum design, work method and material to maintain cost efficiency.
  13. Determine improvement target; find inefficiency root causes; determine and implement action plan; measure results; standardize; and continue the same process to other costly or inefficient programs using continuous improvement methods.

Qualifications:

  1. S1 Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Power Plant Operations.
  3. Sound problem solving and decision making competencies.
  4. Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence and deal with a diverse range of personnel.
  5. Sound project management competency.
  6. Financial skills to handle project and budget responsibilities.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication. Skills in both English and Indonesian, to liaise with internal and external contacts.
3. ENGINEER – CONDITION MONITORING (CPHD)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Supervise the contractor on the data acquisition of condition monitoring works (vibration measurement, thermographic survey, oil sampling).
  2. Make sure the analyis of condition monitoring data is carried out properly and reported to stakeholders.
  3. Supervise the contractor on the process of machine alignment and balancing.
  4. Manage minor mechanical engineering projects.
  5. Demonstrate and encourage acceptance and implementation of KPC HSE programs and practices.
  6. Control project/contract expenditures within limitations of budget.
  7. Determine improvement target; find inefficiency root causes; determine and implement action plan; measure results; standardize; and continue the same process to other costly or inefficient programs using continuous improvement methods.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor Degree (S1) Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years’ Experience in Condition Monitoring Works.
  2. Vibration Analyst Level 1 Certificate from reputable organization is preferred.
  3. Sound problem solving and decision making competencies.
  4. Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to influence and deal with a diverse range of personnel.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication.  Skills in both English and Indonesian, to liaise with internal and external contacts.
  6. Strong concerns for HSES.
4. ENGINEER – CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION (MSD)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Observe mining equipment for researching, designing and developing new systems and device in order to control, monitor and regulate existing process and operations.
  2. Conduct writing reports and documentation.
  3. Calculate the required materials and cost estimation.
  4. Develop trial protocol & test procedures.
  5. Collaborating with a team of experts and engineers.
  6. Ensure that mining equipment, all vehicles and infrastructures work safely and efficiently.
  7. Carry out testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating products and instruments.
  8. Install sensor device, develop program and display on human interface.
  9. Analysing, interpreting data and presenting findings in written report.
  10. Planning, organising, controlling, integrating, and completing Control and Instrumentation engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
  11. Perform and coordinate project execution and control, including tender process, evaluation, administration, and site construction, i.e., fabrication, installation, commissioning, and quality assurance/quality control. This includes planning and control of the Control and Instrumentation scope and interfacing with other disciplines (e.g. mechanical and electrical).
  12. Schedule and monitor project progress.
  13. Prepare and submit report to the superior regarding project progress status on a regular basis.
  14. Promote and reinforce compliance with the KPC HSE rules and regulations among all employees.
  15. Monitor HSE aspects of projects activities.

Qualifications:

  1. Strata 1 Electronic & Instrumentation Engineer.
  2. 3 years’ experience in merging hardware and software for process industry.
  3. Experience in heavy equipment or mining industry, vehicles and infrastructures.
  4. Having experience as lead of several project related to Control & Instrumentation project.
5. ENGINEER – MECHANICAL (MSD)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Lead development, implementation, and monitoring of Reliability Management program: Reliability Engineer under Mtce System will cover MSD and dept. beyond HTM & HEM; Reliability Engineer under HTM & HEM will cover each section under his/her department.
  2. Conduct Performance Monitoring of selected fleet and send their reports regularly.
  3. Conduct Reliability Analysis (RCM, RCA, FMEA, etc.) as required.
  4. Develop, implement, and monitor Maintenance Policy.
  5. Ensure KPI for Equipment Performance, Maintenance Process Performance, Financial Performance, and Equipment Safety Performance reported on certain interval.
  6. Coordinate with Maintenance Team to do Reliability Analysis and implement Maintenance Policy.
  7. Conduct FMEA for new failure mode.
  8. Prepare RCM Analysis and involve on it.
  9. Facilitate RCM Analysis if he/she already completed the RCM Facilitator training.
  10. Ensure Failure Mode in Ivara in line with Failure Component and Failure Mechanism in Ellipse.
  11. Conduct Component Life Evaluation (CLE), minimum once a year, when budgeting process on going.
  12. Submit FMEA Report.
  13. Submit Component Life Evaluation (CLE) Report.
  14. Produce Reliability Management KPI Report.
  15. Ensure RCM Analysis is “live”, and develop it to become trouble shooting guide.
  16. Provide and maintain Reliability Database (Ivara) and Failure Database.
  17. Link Reliability Database to Ellipse and Dispatch.
  18. Involve in reliability improvement initiative.
  19. Ensure Equipment Safety Performance conducted regularly.
  20. To look after projects of fabrication, construction and installation of mechanical related facilities (such as piping, pumps, tanks, towers). Including in this task is to produce cost estimation of each projects in detail.
  21. To look after civil and electrical projects, coordinate with and backed up by civil and electrical engineer or other associated and relevant parties.
  22. Communicate with users, maintainer and supplier of heavy equipment, mobile equipment, or other type of assets, to obtain detailed data and information to be used in the context of acquiring additional assets.
  23. Draft technical drawing and initiate technical investigation, including technical calculations, as reference to the mechanical projects.’

Qualifications:

  1. S1 qualification in mechanical engineering from a reputable university with minimum 3 years’ experience.
  2. Has RCM Facilitator certification is preferable.
  3. Has understanding of equipment reliability. Experience on conducting Reliability Analysis.
  4. Able to operate computer software packages: Ellipse, Dispatch, MinVu, MS-Word, MS-Excel Advanced, MS-Access, MS-Power Point, Minitab.
  5. Advance statistic.
  6. Good communication (written and oral) skills in English and Indonesian.
6. ENGINEER – MECHANICAL (CPHD)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Plan and carry out engineering program, including development of design, calculation and technical review.
  2. Coordinate activities concerning technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test problems.
  3. Coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organising, controlling, integrating, and completing engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
  4. Perform, coordinate and supervise project execution and control, including tender process, evaluation, administration, and site construction, i.e., fabrication, installation, commissioning, and quality assurance/quality control.
  5. Assess risks on the project and implement controls.
  6. Schedule and monitor project progress.

Qualifications:

  1. Tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
  2. As a guide, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical project construction and/or bulk material handling / conveyor and/or mining environment.
  3. Comprehensive understanding and experience in implementing Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  4. Detailed understanding of mining industry.
  5. Good knowledge in Mechanical Standards and Codes.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong concerns for HSES.
7. SENIOR DRAFTSMAN (CIVIL)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Assist Eng/Supv to do site measurement/survey for design purpose.
  2. Prepare several sketches of civil work plan to be selected and approved by superior. Finalize the approved detailed sketches to produce clear plan.
  3. Produce all stages of drawing required for preliminary design, tender, construction and post-construction in the area of civil works (earthworks, road and drainage) as well as building/project construction and maintenance.
  4. Calculate work volume from design to be reviewed by Eng/Supv.
  5. Make drawing as per standards (format, numbering).
  6. Assist to register and file drawing.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Highschool (preferably Engineering/STM) with 7 years working experience, graduate with 5 years working experience as a draftsman.
  2. Able to operate Auto-CAD.
  3. Understand techniques of giving numbers and identification, and keeping designs/plans in accordance with KPC standard.
  4. Diligent, meticulous and patient.
  5. Well-developed written and oral communication skills, both in Bahasa Indonesia.
8. SPECIALIST – MAINTENANCE TRAINING

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Develop learning outcomes from data provided as a result of training needs analysis conducted in the position’s particular discipline area.
  2. Develop lesson plans from a list of learning outcomes in order to provide a consistent approach to the delivery of a competency development program.
  3. Deliver Off and/or on the job training for KPC employees in order to raise skill and competency levels.
  4. Conduct training in a manner which will encourage and motivate trainees to want to learn.
  5. Monitor trainee progress in learning during training sessions and provide appropriate feedback.
  6. Assess course participants to ensure that learning outcomes have been met.
  7. Record trainee attendance and assessment results accurately to ensure integrity of Alesco training data base and to provide accurate feedback to customers.
  8. Resource and/or develop appropriate training materials to support effective module delivery.
  9. Liaise with customers as required to provide information on training course and training administration, receive feedback on all matters related to training activities and to determine training needs.
  10. Maintain an awareness of one’s own career development needs and be proactive in the improvement of skills, knowledge and competencies required to further improvement one’s own performance.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum SLTA or STM on automotive or electrical with above 10 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
  2. Possessing experience as Maintenance Trainer or competency Assessor would be preferable.
  3. Computer literate and excellent skill in designing and developing training manual.
  4. Excellent organizing and time management skills.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) in both bahasa Indonesia and English.
9. SENIOR ENGINEER – MECHANICAL (CPHD)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  1. Make technical and cost calculation with assistance from mechanic drafting section.
  2. Provide design, specification, and cost estimation for modifications and additions to maintenance and Operation dept. It should meet the International standards.
  3. Identify and develop solutions to existing problems to improve equipment performance, availability, reliability, maintainability, safety, and minimise/reduce costs and environmental impact.
  4. Submit the Capital Expenditure Application (CEA) for mechanical projects.
  5. Manage mechanical projects to ensure customer requirements are satisfied, also meet to KPC Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standard.
  6. Direct contractors to ensure that work is completed on time, within budget and to an acceptable standard.
  7. Promote and reinforce compliance with the KPC HSE rules and regulations among all employees.
  8. Monitor HSE aspects of projects activities.
  9. Provide feedback to plan and maintain optimum manning within the Mechanical group.
  10. Foster teamwork spirit and create a workplace culture among employees consistent with the KPC values.
